Romantic Cascade Braid

How To :
- Make a dramatic side part on the far left side.
- Beginning at the side part, French braid along the front of the hairline, moving towards the right ear.
- Continue to braid, weaving in more and more hair as your work towards your right ear. Stop braiding just behind the right ear and secure with a dark or clear elastic.
- Take the remaining loose hair and curl 1-2" sections with a large barrel curling iron or a flat iron.* Gently run your fingers through curls to separate.

How To :
- Brush your pretty locks.
- Make half a pony tail by using a small hair tie.
- take your pony tail halfway trough the hair tie, to create a 'loop'.
- Split the loop in half.
- Grab the leftover piece of hair, and fold it over the middle.
- Secure with a bobby pin.
- Make sure that you can't see the bobby pin.
- Take one of the 'loops' and spread it over the side of your head. Slide a bobby pin through the middle of the loop. Repeat this on the other side.

Quick & Easy Updo Hair Tutorial

steps :
Step 1 : Divide hair into three sections, the majority of your hair ending up in the low ponytail at the back of your head.
Step 2 : Loosely braid the ponytail and secure it at the bottom.
Step 3 : Tuck the bottom of the braid under the elastic securing the top of the braid, then pin the loop that forms to your head.
Step 4 : Use the extra hair on the left and right sides of your head to wrap around the braid. You can twist them as much or as little as you like. Secure with more bobby pins.

The Reason for the Silence... such as it is.

As per usual I begin with an apology - and this the most earnest of those so far: so very sorry for the abruptness and the length (!) of my silence.

I am in fact, still alive, still working, and most significantly, preparing for fatherhood.

I do suffer from chronic, low level depression which most often presents itself as a strong desire to be left alone and excessive computer gaming :\ ... yet the main reason for the sudden stop was more particularly two things:

1/ fear, as I approach the moment/scene in ECONOMOUS that motivated me to start his story in the first place; &

2/ realising that I had no idea who Miss Swift actually is (since *-SPOILERS AHEAD!-* I want to make her a main character) and not being able to proceed without her being better realised.

Well, happy day \o/, thanks to my writers' group of Michael Hawke, Ben Morton & Rikki Lambert, I have a much clearer sense of her now (and quite different she is from how I have penned her so far) so proceeding can begin again.

That said, I am currently in the thick of illustrating a growing list of picture books which have most of my creative professional attention, and what of that is left for writing I am thinking of applying to the other fruit of the WRITERS' GROUP: the continuing story of Europe, the Branden Rose, taking up where FACTOTUM left off. Excitingly (for me, at least) I have a beginning, middle and sense of the end (or a final catalysing moment to work towards), so it now simply awaits for me to take the start I have already and turn it into a finished tale.

I would like to thank you all for your persistence and Tom Wamstad for his expressed concern (which prompted me to speak up at last). I am still here, a little overwhelmed, but getting there.

For my next post I shall seek to respond to the comments from the last long ago post, so stay tuned...)

Beautiful Green Eye Shadow

How To Do :

• Step 1 : First fill the lids with a nude base colour.
• Step 2 : Then with green eyeliner or thin brush, drow a line over crease towards the corner of your eye and connect.
• Step 3 : Fill the corner in with a darker green.
• Step 4 : Sweep medium shade from the corner of the eye to the center and blend to create gradient effect.
• Step 5 : Brush light blue onto the corner of the eye and blend into medium shade.
• Step 6 : With a thin angled brush; apply black over the top of existing cat eye line. blend into green at the edge.
• Step 7 : Brush light blue onto the bottom lid, followed by medium green. add black to the outer corner and sweep under the eye, into the center area.
• Step 8 : Add a touch of yellow to the center of eyelid. line the lid with black eyeliner, continuing into tear duct.
• Step 9 : Finish by adding two coats of mascara.

How To :
- Choose a concealer that blends well with your skin and contains moisturizer so it won’t crease under the eye or in eyelids. Apply several dots under the eyes and blend with a concealer brush or sponge.
- Use a large brush to sweep powder all over your face to set your makeup and create a shine-free, even finish.
- Use a soft blush brush to sweep blush onto the apples of your cheeks.
- Starting at the base of your eyelashes, gently wiggle the mascara wand upwards. Repeat.
- omplete the look with a coat of sheer, pink or peachy gloss.
